This week we welcome Dimitri Bacopanos to the board. As a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australia and with more than thirty years of experience in a wide range of industries, geographies and roles he brings further capabilities to the Canyon board of directors.
Capabilities are also increasing on the other side of the world in Cameroon with activities underway for DFS and ESIA supporting investigations continuing on the tenements providing upskilling and broader experiences for our team.
The dozer has already prepared approximately half of the grade definition drilling programme’s drill pads, an efficiency that reflects the quality of the team. Elvis, our driller, and Joseph our mechanic have done a great job in bringing the drill rig back up to full health following its standby period earlier in the year.
The ESIA team have been logging aquatic flora and fauna and we’ve had a flow of photos coming through of the local fish species being recorded for the baseline studies in the streams nearby. In the Perth office the focus has been on homing in on the shortlist of engineering partners with a particular emphasis on those that can partner for the longer term into the execution phase.
Additionally we are looking to bolster our in house team with specific rail expertise as this work stream begins to ramp up. So as usual a lot is being done by a small, hard-working, team and it’s great to be a part of it all.
